Flip-UltraHD Camcorder
The Flip-Ultra HD Camcorder is now available. Get in before the Christmas Rush!!
Shoot video instantly with your digital camcorder. Capture precious moments and amazing events when they happen. Never struggle with a bulky camcorder again.
After reading about the Flip-UltraHDCamcorder addition of an HDMI output, larger screen, and longer battery life I decided to sell my 4 month old Flip MinoHD and purchase the Flip UltraHD. Since the MinoHD is very sleek and diminutive in size, my first reaction to the UltraHD was that it was quite a bit larger and bulkier to hold, and has taken some time to get used to. However, unless you’ve used a MinoHD the larger size of the UlraHD will probably be less noticeable. I found the camera controls on the Flip-UltraHD Camcorder to be slightly easier to operate vs. the touch sensitive buttons on the MinoHD. As far as video quality between the two, I compared two different videos and both are about the same, however, the colors appear to be slightly more vibrant with the UltraHD.
If you’re looking for a compact camcorder with more features (HDMI output, replaceable batteries, longer record time) then you can’t go wrong with the Flip-UltraHD Camcorder.
The UltraHD is the all-around better choice.

Just picked up a Flip Ultra HD. Have to say I am very impressed. Picture quality much better than expected and way better than my mini dv camcorder. Audio is also very good. Love the simplicity of it and I can take it anywhere so I get much more video than I would with a standard camcorder. Also works great with my imac.

I FINALLY uploaded a vid! Ya i know it took a while but its up and its on the Flip Video Camcorder Ultra HD. I tried to upload this vid probably about 9 times and it took me 2 days to actually upload it because the software that comes with it SUCKS! When you try and upload your video straight to youtube it doesnt work cause its in the wrong format and I called their customer service line and i waited a whole hour then they hung up on me… So the software sucks but the video camera is really good. I could only upload this in HQ not HD cause i had to use Movie Maker to make the video. So I got a good deal on it for 9.99 (originally costs 9.99) and it comes with two free “leather cases”. The “leather” cases first of all were not leather and they both didnt even fit the camcorder so they suck, BADLY. They sell it on their site for .99 which is a total ripoff considering it doesnt even fit the camera. I recommend buying the camcorder if your looking for a new one. Areas of interest and which is better, the Creative Vado HD or the Flip Ultra HD. Design – Vado – Smaller but does not stand up without a tripod. LCD Display – Ultra – Hands down the LCD us much brighter and more clear. Batteries – Ultra – Has rechargeable AA pack and will use standard AA batteries. Controls – Ultra – Almost a tie but Vado power button is hard to push. Lens – Vado – For it’s wide angle lens Low Light – Vado – Both kinda suck but the Vado has less noise. However, the Ultra …

I think people that rate the Flip negatively need to realize its target audience. I mean, if you want lots of features and professional quality, you shouldn’t even be looking at the Flip. Spend your 00 and buy a nice Canon HD camcorder. Then lug the thing around. But, if you want a simple to use, good quality HD camcorder(and yes 720p is HD…just ask ABC TV), with very easy to use software, then buy this. I did, for my wife, and she loves it. Where as our nice Sony camcorder just sits in …

..ok, so i recently purchased the Flip Ultra HD camcorder and wanted to test the image quality and sound. Now, I must say that I was a bit hesitant to purchase this camcorder because of its lack of macro, no memory card slot for extra storage, and no wide lense. Originally I wanted to purchase the Kodak Zi8 because of its 60fps at 720p and 30fps at 1080p, but the mic sound was a deal breaker for me and the fact that I couldn’t use AA’s in case the battery died. Yes the Kodak Zi8 has some …
